The 2.4 litre Diesel engines produced 78HP without a catalyst (AAB Engine code) or 75HP with a catalyst (AJA Engine code).
The 2.4-liter VW AAB or T4 2.4 diesel engine was produced from 1990 to 1998 and was installed in the fourth generation of the very popular Transporter minibus. After updating to more stringent environmental standards, this motor received the AJA index.
